What are the thoughts about this SLIGHTLY over priced 03A4.
Bolt looks to be parked as well as the other parts. Wish I could get that price for my CMP papered 03A4.

The replacement stock makes it worth that easy!!!:yikes::yikes:
 This rifle was listed in CMP's 1999 inventory and on SRS.
The barrel is probably original to the receiver but everything else was changed when the rifle was rebuilt.
The seller has it valued around twice whats it worth IMO.
Of course it DOES have the combination tool, cardboard box and nifty certificate of authencity.:super:

dayum!!12 grand, and a bugus circle P to boot..wow. hope it fetches that. ill be selling a bunch of A4,s
nice rifle....but 12 grand nice??well see.
that was listed on gun broker, and he listed all the gear pictured with it there... Maybe he forgot to add that therE?? either way, way to pricey.
Has anyone ever seen a circle P proof on the bottom of the pistol grip. They are usually on the front of the grip. I contacted the seller and was told the bolt is parked. Aren't they usually blued? My CMP 03a4 is blued as usually seen.
For 12 grand he should cover the shipping and insurance. He also needs to post about 12 dozen pictures.
The rifle has been arsenal-overhauled, refinished, and re-assembled from mixed parts. The stock is a spare replacement made by Keystone. The encircled "P" proof mark is the arsenal overhaul proof mark. The stock has no original Remington factory marks.
I wish the seller luck at fetching his asking price.

Glad to see those rings are so rare, as I have a set!
Jim
Re circle P - Yes on original rifles the mark is on the grip.
Re bolt finish - Yes on original rifles the bolts and the rest of the small metal parts (BP, TG/M, bands. swivels) were blued.
Its a bit hard to tell from the one picture provided but the Trigger guard looks like a large bow to me which is not original or even correct for a rifle in this sn range.
I can't comment on the web gear but bayonets were not an item of issue with the A4 for obvious reasons.

Jim
