1903 A3 Remington Stocks ?

Living only 3 miles from the CMP North Store, I have examined a number of A3rifles and stocks. I have seen non-pinned stocks, pinned stocks and cross-bolted stocks. But I am curious about which stocks were used for which serial number ranges. Recently, I saw a clean 3/43 rifle with a very nice cross bolt reinforced stock that had all of the original cartouches present. The owner said that the rifle was correct and original. I guess that I always assumed that these cross bolt stocks were used for later manufactured rifles. Does anyone know what stocks were original/correct for the

A 3-43 '03-A3 would have a pinned stock. Your description indicates the stock has been replaced.

At Remington, the changeover occurred with barrels dated about 7-43.
