Irwin-Pedersen barrel and stock questions

I have an IP, serial number 32138xx that I am contemplating restoring. I would very much appreciate knowing the following:

Receiver: Any idea when (date range) this receiver might have been made by IP?
Same for it being assembled into a deliverable carbine by Saginaw Grand Rapids?

Barrel: Looking in Ruth’s book, there were five possible manufacturers (Inland, Saginaw S.G., Underwood, Rock-Ola or Buffalo) whose barrel might have been screwed onto the receiver but no date ranges were listed. In your experience, what barrel and date range(s) would have been most likely found on this carbine when it left the Grand Rapids plant?

Stock: According to Ruth again, there were six possible stocks variations with all of them being high wood. From your observations, which cartouche(s) would have been most probable for this carbine? (“I” aperture: RMC, LA, IP in square / IR-IP (large letters), IP in square / IR-IP. Oval aperture: RSG / S’G’ in square, S’G’ in square / IR-IP)

Underwood barrels were the most common found on IP/S'G' receivers. It is had to say what date would be correct for your serial number as the numbers were not used in order. Being an IP marked receiver, a summer to fall 1943 time frame might be correct. A high wood oval cut stock marked RSG in the sling well with the S'G' and acceptance stamp on the right side would work. hth

I did a check of the barrel date / make found on CMP auction IP and early S'G' carbines that were sold on auction for the past few years. The 3.21 IP and S'G' receivers most commonly had Underwood barrels. The most common barrel date / make was 4-43 Underwood followed by 3-43 Underwood. There were a few 6-43 Underwoods (must have finished later). There was one 2-43 Underwood. A few Inland barrels showed up also ( 3-43, 4-43, 6-43 ). There was one 8-43 and a few so late they had to be replacement barrels.
