Walter Cronkite is dead/merged

Mr. Cronkite passed away today. Last correspondant alive that covered ww2.

I always liked listening to his commentary.

I especially watched his live reports from 'Nam. I believe he was the last real reporter.

Hes an American icon that will be surely missed. I read a post saying that the greatest generation is leaving us fast, prime example. And people wonder why we want to preserve these old rifles...

Sorry, I have no love lost for Uncle Walter. We won every battle in Vietnam but when he said we lost the war, we lost the war.

Besides, a huge anti-gun liberal.

We had an free-lance female reporter in our Province while I was an Advisor in RVN. She moved in with the Seal Team and was drunk almost all of the time. Filed a "story" once in awhile, mostly about how the Seals were winning the war. I am very doubtful about reporters, never met Cronkite in any rice paddie I was standing in.

Uncle Walter, well I would say a lot, but I was taught not to badmouth the deceased. He was like 0311Shooter says, not our friend!
