Has anybody had success, (accuracy), with 06 loads for the M1 using bullets in the 125Gr range? I am at a loss as to what would be a suitable powder with the right pressure curve for the Garand. I'm looking for an accurate load for 100 - 200 meter competition. Thanks, Shottist
Dont know if it works out of a Garand, but had a 123grs. bullet from Lapua with 58.7grs of VV N550, COL: 84mm Cases: PRVI, Primer: CCI BR 2 for the M1917 with not bad success. The bullet weight is very similar so its eventualy a option.

for some reason, 50 grains comes to mind from when I was shooting up a box of Nosler 125's, but don't have my manual handy. VERY accurate and cycled/ejected fine.

150GR IMR4064 50GRS of powder well this is what works for me anyway im sure everyone has their own pet loads
Use the Sierra 125gr spitzer or the Speer 125gr hollow point "TNT" bullet. These are outstanding, low recoil loads for the 200yd offhand and sitting rapid fire National Match stages.
These are .30-06 loads for M1 Garands and other military rifles.
50.0gr H-322 for approx 2,950fps
52.0gr Accurate 2520 for approx 3,000fps
52.0gr IMR-4895 for approx 2970fps
52.0gr H-4895 for approx 2940fps
These loads are proven performers in match conditioned Garand rifles, but also group well in bolt action match and sporter rifles.

FWIW, I didn't feel all that much recoil reduction from M2 ball, but every little bit helps with the arthritis.

with 125s in the M1. My loads were right in the middle of the load range and accuracy was good with low recoil.
125 gr. bullets used to be quite popular at Perry in the rapid strings. Much less recoil and excellent accuracy. Nowadays the AR's rule.
