Enfield Pins
Some useful info on pins used on Enfields. As well as being dimensioned in inches, most can be defined by (British) Standard Wire Gauge numbers (Christian Units). I appreciate that our colonial American cousins have their own wire standard, but these are British rifles after all.................:)

Before the No4, Enfields had a thread pattern that only exsisted there.

Armourers soon learned that you can use the long 'PIN, cap, fore-end', .... which hopefully Enfieldlock will remind us of the SWG number and diameter.... as a suitable replacement for the pin axis trigger and sear if need be and mag catch too on the Mk1/1 and 1/3.
