J5 bolt
Good afternoon guys, I am getting involved with restoring my '03 and was surprised to find that I have an A3 Remington bolt in my SA 969XXX rifle. I believe the rifle was made in August 1918 and according to posts on this site, the correct bolt would have been a J5 with straight bolt configuration. The swept bolt was put into production in November 1918.
Do you experts agree with this guess? Also, can anyone post a photo of the differences between the swept and straight bolt pattern?
As always I appreciate the help and knowledge you are willing to share.

John Beard's bolt chart on ViShooter's website http://vishooter.home.att.net/m1903.html says you are correct: a staight handles J5 is appropriate to your rifle. His Bolt section has a picture of straight & curved handled J5 bolts.

I saw that bolt at The Dealers Warehouse in Modesto, CA. It was there last month, don't know about today. Rather uncommon bolt.
