Gun laws pertaining to gun show purchases

I will be attending the Reno Gun Show in August and, being a total newbie with his head up his bottom (not a good view up here...), I am wondering what gun laws say regarding the purchase of firearms at such events. I am under the impression that, being a Nevada resident, there shouldn't be any problems with buying a gun from another Nevada resident, but what about sellers coming in from other states? How do transactions occur at gun shows? (Yes, I am so wet behind the ears, I am actually wet between the ears...sheesh...)

I believe that out of state buyers have to go through the federal background check. That's how it is in Texas.

Often this law is not followed but you never know who your buyer might be. Always check driver's licenses to make sure their from your state.

many states allow unrestricted sales between personal parties, but at gun shows, this may be restricted either by state law or the show sponsors....easy enough to check out prior to the show.

In every State, gun-dealers(Licensed) must sell the same way they do in their place of business. Being at a gunshow does not exempt them from the Federal Firearms Laws or any applicable State laws. Out of state Dealers at a gunshow are under the same laws as the state they're selling in.

sales between private individuals- All applicable state laws must be obeyed. For exampe, here in Ohio The buyer must present a valid Ohio Driver's License with his/her photo on it. further, you, as the seller, must write the information on the License down. although this is seldom done here.
