Berdan Primers re-vivited

Buffalo Arms has no idea when/if the will have any more .401 brass, so I ordered the Fiocci brass from Grafs, and now need to find a source of Berdan primers.

I am in South Eastern PA, near Allentown. Would like to find some close enough that I can pick them up rather than pay the Hazmat fee.

Any information on a source of a few hundred primers would be greatly appreciated.

I am also going to try making some cases from either .30-30 or .35 Remington, but that may not work out.

This is a nice old rifle in apparently quite good condition, really would like to shoot it. I have a model 1905 in .35wsl, but have been able to buy both factory ammo and reformed cases with little problem. Only box of .401 was asking price $95.00, and thats a little pricey to shoot.

It doesn't matter where you buy any product that has a hazmat tag, you will pay hazmat fee's. The store keeper must pass on that cost and that's included in the price of the primers on the shelf. Recently, UPS raised the hazmat fee from $20.00 to $22.50. This increased the price of the product and had nothing to do with supply and demand.
If you can find berdan primers, I would suggest you buy a case for the future as the price and fee's will continue to escalate with the climate we are facing for the next 3.5 years.

If you have the tools, you can make perfect boxer-primed 410 WSL brass from Starline 414 Super Mag. It requires reduction of the rim diameter, deepening of the extractor groove and reduction in length. Starline sells 250 for about $125.

I've got about 350 some Norma Berdan Primers, Non-corrosive & Non-mercuric; for Rifle Cartridges, 5.5 MM Diameter. I live near Gettysburg. You can have them for $20.00 and you pick them up.
