No.4Mk.1* replacement trigger

Has anyone had any experience installing and shooting the "match grade"trigger from Numrich.Is it quality, easy to install/adjust,any other triggers for recomendation?Thanks.:help:

Haven't seen it, but the stock trigger is so easy to set up, it hardly seems worth buying. If you have the LB stamped trigger guard, throw it away and replace it before working on your trigger. The stamped one is almost impossible to maintain a good pull with. You bump the guard, or look at too long, and there goes the pull!

The trigger they sell is the Huber Trigger and it works very well. I put one on my Mosin Nagant and really love the difference it made.

I'm going to try to stone the trigger on my No 4 Mk 1* with an extra trigger but if it doesn't come out right I'll be getting the Huber.

Just remember, a little goes a long way.............

Have fitted the Huber trigger to several SMLEys (No.4, No. 1 Mk. III* & 2A1) in the collection and YES they do make a difference, a big difference.

Follow the directions carefully as there is a little bit of woodwork required to be dremelled out.

Performace is dramatically improved as there is adjustment not only to set it to be a two stage trigger, but also for single pull.

Simple reason for the heavy two stage in the Enfield design is to avoid unintentional discharge as you clamber your way up over the top of the parapet, aka, WW1.

Be very, very careful about how 'light' you make the let-off this can make a very good system unsafe and it will disqualify the rifle during scrutiny where trigger weight may be tested. Get to know how to setup the trigger to suit what you use your rifle for as well as how to readjust it to make it heavier for milsurp competition use. For hunting a heavier setting is more prudent.

The ball bearing 'feels' more crisp with the letoff than the original double bump.

A simple engineering idea that definitly improves performance and is well worth the investment.

Tip: Label the old trigger before you put it away so that if needs be you can reinstall back into the correct rifle.
