Commonly known as the ".22 Cadet" You appear to have the foresight hood that is frequently missing. Total production is believed to have been as high as 17,000, but could have been "considerably smaller". Retail cost circa 1910 was $14.00 CAN. If yours has stamps in the butt and/or a serial number on the barrel that would indicated whether it was a commercial or military purchase piece.
Not up on UK prices, you might ask the auction houses what they'd suggest; Weller & Dufty for one.
Here in Canada, I'd guess a nice one would be not less than $250. CAN, perhaps more.
