Has anyone got the cure ? - PLEASE !!!!

Its been a couple of months now since the last Enfield purchase and despite the withdrawl 'pangs' I really did think I was getting over the Enfielditus - but no - its come back with a vengance.



Started out (like most folks, I guess), that any Enfield would do but now starting to 'focus' on the more 'specialist' / low volume versions.



So far this year picked up a No5 Mk1, a No7 Mk1 (5 shot magazine variant only 2500 manufactured) and an Enforcer (Number 134* of only 767 manufactured and apparently about 50% have been cut-up)



Yesterday saw another Enforcer for sale (number 493*) and just had to have it, hit the credit card now got to wait for it to be shipped and a variation added to my Firearm Certificate. Pictures will be posted eventually.



* Number 134 was originally issued to South Wales Police 26th April 1974

* Number 493 was originally issued to Cleveland Police 11th March 1976



Guess that means that my Enforcer 'clone' will be going to a new home, I cannot justify 3 'target' 7.62 rifles.

Before long it will hit you. The more rare or nicer looking examples are always nice to have in a collection. I have a focus in my collection, but I do not let that focus detract from collecting other interesting Enfield pieces, such as the Paki No. 4's, or the commercial No 1's, or FTR'd Mk II's. There was a day, not so long ago that I knew I'd never have a (T) Enfield, and now I have 2 very nice examples. Don't give up hope!

Got rare stuff too, but unmolested war time regular issue rifles (discounting late '44 and 1945 vintage) are harder to find than snipers and such! 4T's, only interested these days if its '43 or earlier.

Maybe I should sell them my "Enforcer Type" (The clone built on a No4 action) - its pretty much Identical and I'll take £500 !!!!!

Do you know whereabouts they are ? (No address on the website)

The area code is 01582 which is luton.

I reckon they've been sold a pup or something - see on the receiver where it's been milled off just where the 'enforcer' bit goes? Perhaps they've realised it was a fake and removed it - just guessing though.

Perhaps it was the "Enforcer" off the last Holts auction; I hope no-one here bought that horror.....

Actually I spoke to a dealer a while ago and he said he had an enforcer but its genuiness had been called into question (which he disagreed with) so he was sending it to auction! Perhaps it was the same one...
