I am wondering what is the correct bayonet I should be looking for, for my LE #4 Mk1 dated 1950? Is it the same ones from WWII? Or were changes made after the war?

you could also turn to the no7[although not specific to the no4 rifle] or the no9 with its blade that looks like a no5 bayo , thats if you wanted to depart from the spikes

Canada only produced the No.4 MKII, so yes its the same. Rumours that a small number of No.7 and No.9 were purchased from England, but in 36 years of collecting I have never seen either one with Canadian Property Markings.
gotta agree there , if you want an LB marked bayo the mkII would be the one [i too have only seen this one]but they were issued with whatever - no attempt to match anything so he could go with what he likes/finds at a decent price
A 1950 would ideally be best complimented by a Canadian Arsenals "CA" marked No.4MkII spike bayonet, but they are tough to find. a LB proofed one would work just as well.
Are these the same spike bayonets that ,i've heard, have a lot of fakes floating around?.
The only ones that are usually faked are the no4mk1 bayonet, which was the cruciform bayonet.Quote:

Things ot watch for on the cruciform is that it should be a Singer, and I believe there is a slight difference in the overall length.
fake can aften be noted by the flutes as well , in how they are cut , the shape of the turnout and tip , the mkI as noted were only made by singer and with only 75000 made in early to mid 1941 , they would be the least likely to have been mated to your `1950' LB and also as stated with the mkII being the only one made outside britan [ie; canada & us] it would be best suited
