Talk to me about torque! Armourer-type question (Mr. L?)

Are, or were, there issued/accepted torque settings for LE screws?

I'm particularly interested in the No.4 (or 5, I guess are the same) Screw, guard, trigger, back, and the Screw, guard, trigger, front. Hope I got the nomenclature right.

In fact, any known or recommended torque settings would be much appreciated, for any LE, for any screw.

Now I have my horribly priced FAT Wrench, I can at least try to get things right and not farmer-tighten things, or have them come loose at the range and spread my shots around the countryside. I'm perfectly capable of that without assistance. :D

No, we didn't have particular torque settings for most weaponry, just a sensible '...tight so that it won't vibrate loose' gauge. The screws did work loose occasionally but where there was a problem, they would be staked.

I was just trying to think of what screws on the big Bren and Vickers or GPMG's worked loose but nothing that I could recall was a problem
