an "I told you so" moment I shall savor
I remember a couple years ago on the old 1911 CSP forum how I was recommending folks buy as much as possible of the Wolf .45ACP cans from Sportsmans Guide for 45.00 a CASE (or 10 boxes 500 rounds)!! With the 10 dollar off coupons they always had if you bought 100 bucks worth of stuff, etc. this was pretty dang close to the DELIVERED price.
Unfortunately, All I got then was a HUGE ration of "that stuff is crap," or "it will damage your extractor," and "get something else," and it will "jam up your gun." Much of this got 'personal,' implying I was some kind of idiot for advocating "ruining" pistols etc.
I suspect you may remember these diatribes yourself..
Fortutnately, I bought MORE of the stuff at an average price of about SIX bucks a box DELIVERED. Heck for me, even with a Dillon SDB in .45acp, it was easier, and considering my time, a better deal to BUY the stuff for blasting/plinking than reloading it. I even bouught a couple cases at 80.00 delivered about a year later. I suspect I have about 8-10 cans of the stuff and a couple cases of USGI IMI ball which should be good for a while.

Anything else (commercial name brand US stuff) is 30.00 to 42.00 per BOX now.
Well Rick, I suggest you get out there and buy a nice single stage press, a couple boxes of 200gr SWCs, primers etc. and with current component prices, you can likely make decent ammo for about 8 bucks per box.
Good luck.
