I know this is a shot in the dark, hence the title, but I have a WB inspected colt frame SN 843815 with a slide numbered 843762. Close but no cigar. :crying: Anyone have an appropiately numbered frame or slide they would like to trade so I can match one of these 2 up? :beerchug:
No help, but I have frame1099855 and slide 905558. Enough shots in the dark and maybe something may be hit.
It has been a few months so figured I would bump this up to the top, if that is permitted.
Probably best to leave it alone, as most mis-matches were done by USGI armorers during mass cleaning.... in fact the close ones were probably done when the new A1s were first recieved as Ordnance cleaned new pistols fresh from shipment prior to stocking.Quote:

I wouldn't worry about it.They have been together since their first gang cleaning.Even if you found the original slide or frame I guarantee they won't match. Bob
