I purchased a new paratrooper stock from Northridge to convert my Auto-Ordinance to a replica m1a1. The problem is the recoil plate. The paratrooper plate does not allow the receiver to go all the way down. Do you have to dremel off some material on the folder to get an Auto Ordinance receiver to fit flush? I sure hate to do this to such a new stock and it be wrong. Thanks for your help.:sos:
I had one of those re-pop stocks from Gun Parts, I had problems getting mine to set in I realised that I had to push the back of the receiver into the recoil plate while holding the barrel up in the air at a high angle. Even after that there was too much tension and I had to loosen the recoil plate a little.
I sold the stock after a week or two.

I have had three or four different ones (replicas) over the years. All but one had the problem you cite. The angle that the recoil plate sits in is too severe.
The only one I had that worked well was a very close copy of the original stock with no M2 cut, and the left side of the receiver relieved for the cheek piece. It was an oldler one I picked that up at Pamona Gun Show about 1989, and it was used already.
The one Numrich sells have M2 cut and are not relieved, at least when I bought one from them about 5 years ago. Ended up selling it. I tried dremeling the bottom of the recoil plate, the inside of the lug, etc. and finally got it to fit. It had lock up issues, also. Sold it cheap.
