I have a M3 infrared night scope I need information about the batteries for the scope I know that the light uses a 6 volt battery.
I have heard that there is a replacement battery for the scope I want to try the scope out
I'm new here and have not learned how to upload photos

Are you looking for an original wet battery or a modern replacement to use the scope? If modern go to a radio shack and they can fix you up. If you are seeking an original I have a friend who has some unused ones.
used a 6 volt lead/acid battery for both light and scope. Any 6v battery will do to just try out , just run leads from the pack to your battery. Any 6 volt battery power source should also work , just run it by someone who knows about batteries because your vibrator will boost that up to , what ? 20,000 volts? , a little differance can do a lot. Also , if your battery is newly charged , run the light only for 30 secs or so to prevent a power spike that could burn out your scope.

The originals can be found, still dry, with the original casel. I think I have one or two in my shop.
If you get an original, be aware that back in the day of 6 volt batteries, the battery acid used was stronger, 1.280 SG. The stuff you get at the auto store is weaker, 1.265 or thereabouts. To get full charge and get the last (green) ball on the charge indicator to come up, you will have to find some concentrated sulfuric acid and add a bit to the auto store stuff until it indicates 1.280 on a battery acid tester. Always add the concentrated sulfuric to the weak stuff, never the other way around - intense splashing. Once it is charged,you will have to keep it on a trickle charger or it will go flat and sulphate. One of the little 6v power packs for portable appliances will suffice.
