Ithaca Barrel
Hy Guys !!!
I'm interested in buying an Ithaca n° 1.220.xxx.
All the marks are correct, but i'm not sure that it's barrel is original, because it doesen't have any marks on the lugs barrel.
However there is an " H " and "S" on the left side of the barrel (looking from the back) and enother "7" on the bottom of it, just forward the lug.
I don't have any photos :(
Could anyone tell me if this barrel is original ?
Is it a commercial production ?
The cost of this Ithaca is about 1.600 Euros in Italy.
Thank you in advance.

The barrel you describe is not marked properly to be a WWII barrel.

Thanks Scott.
Do you have some ideas about the age or the provenience of the barrell of that ITHACA?

To be a correct barrel for your Ithaca, it should have the HS (High Standard) on one side of the lug and a P proof mark on the other side of the lug. If the HS is stamped on the side of the barrel then someone has stamped the barrel themselves, obviously trying to decieve a potential buyer.
