Other than conversions (some of which are just plain crappy), are there any factory made versions out there for sale? I had one in 7.5 and it was sweet. Never should have sold it.:banghead:

I haven't heard of any. The Century Arms coversions are bad at best. Actually a good gun as is.
I have a Century Arms conversion. I like it. It is accurate, the head space is perfect and the rifle is tight all over. It is a mixmaster of parts of course but most of the pieces are as new. The only issue I have with it is the mickey mouse safety that was installed on the left side of the receiver. It is supposed to be locked in position with a detent ball. The ball is to small and the spring is weak so it will change position with recoil. I just deactivated the safety and all is well.
Decent compact little rifle and the ammo is a lot easier to come by than the original fodder.
I had early experience with century conversion. chamber was roughly cut. I recut and polished chamber. Reworked bolt face to smaller case head. Modified gas cut off to vernier type adj. When done rifle functioned well. However, after all that it was an FAL The MAS in 7.5 takes a rear seat to nothing. Incredible grenade launching strength, with accuracy and reliability. Gary
