Anyone at Nashville Gun & Civil War Show

Anyone at Nashville this weekend? I saw a few carbines and carbine stocks floating around. One carbine I liked was what appeared to be a correct Underwood warbaby for a grand. Had the type one band and the flip up sight. Didnt appear to be a rebuild. Came with a C tip sling. I didnt have the money for it and it didnt last long. LOL Later I could have got it for I sold and traded some stuff but sadly someone was carrying it around after buying it. I did make out and felt like Christmas traded an old Marlin 30 30 for a 1914 Mauser pistol, some medals for a German Army Dagger plus bought a M1 helmet.

Michael, except for a Standard Products firing pin all parts appear to be original to this carbine, including the stock. All parts and surfaces have slight wear. Muzzle guages a little under a 2. Stock is an unsanded Underwood with no rebuild marks and is in outstanding condition . Blued IU oiler worn where the sling contacts it. S mark on base and U mark on flipper (no type 2 /3 sight stake marks.). Correct C tip sling. Unmarked type 1 band. Front sight U marked in front. Very much appears to be an unaltered (firing pin ?) vet bring back.

Great snag. I was the guy asking you about it after you bought it. I saw no stake marks and nice wood. Looked correct without tearing it down. Someone must have broke the firing pin thus the replacement. That was the nicest carbine there. I was gonna buy it after I sold some stuff I brought. First vet bringback I ever saw and the price was right. LOL Great catch. Wonder if any will turn up at SOS in Louisville?
