Chilean 1935 Mauser Carbiñero Questions
I posted earlier asking about a bayonet for my Chilean 1935 Mauser. As I was giving it a good cleaning, I decided to study it more carefully and take some photos. It definitely is all matching, at least everything that is marked, right down to the cleaning rod. There is also a five-point star on many of the metal parts, sometime with the serial number, sometimes not. There are two sets of markings that I don't understand. There are four Crown over letters on the right receiver. Two look German (Crown/N and Crown/U). I don't recognize the other two. Also, there are some odd stampings under the bolt. Any insight as to what there are would be appreciated.
