A M1903 stock work of art!!
A gentleman from another forum emailed me about a rifle that had belonged to his great-grandfather. He mentioned that the rifle had some nice carving, but words can't express what the stock and handguard look like! Look at all the detail work! The rifle is a 942,000-range Springfield M1903 and has been drilled and tapped for a scope.
The metal has probably been reblued at some time. I am assuming that his great-grandfather did the woodworking. John Beard says it is a service stock that had a couple of extra pieces added on, one for the grip and another for the cheekpiece.
In my opinion, a real work of art!! Comments?
