Yogo mauser up-grades
I just picked up another 24/47 in the hopes it shoots half as good as the last one I had. I'll be looking at another next week and after that I'll be hunting down a M48. all this is to do a little with upcoming winter projects.
The first is going to have a Zrak M76 mounted on it and finished off like a Serbian field sniper. the second is going to get a mount and scope set-up for a POSP, this is going to be a plinker w/HP and the third I'm mounting a PU up on an M48, again a 1950's vintage knock off Yogo sniper.
I usually make fat barrel guns or something a little different, but, with the present availability of the Yogos, I'd better get these projects out of the way while still afford ability is still hot-SDH :D

Well, if you plan to do a ZRAK replica, it's not that tough. Kebco has all the parts you need. If you do a PSOP, try to find a less collectible rifle to customize, if possible. Maybe a century U-Fix-Um M24/47? Most just had a minor crack in the handguard or whatever.
I have some nice M48 & M24/47 rifles that I would never consider modifying :)
Though I've always thought if I could find a nice early M24/47 action already bubba'd it'd make a great little intermediate action to build a tree-stand 7x57 or similar one with a nice long mannlicher-style full stock.

Yea, I would never hack up nice correct guns, I'm looking at bottom feeders with good bores @ low prices. I'm figuring on having a little shooting fun plus have semi-representative/could be pieces. I need the deviation. I have one or two fat barrel builds coming up, but, would much rather be doing something milsurp-SDH

By the way... you wouldn't happen to ever come across a brass range plate tacked onto an M96 stock on a "bottom feeder" M96 Swedish Mauser would you? I desperately need one :(

You've got it. I just got to dig one up, need a 94 range plate?SDH

Actually, nope! just an M96 one. I have no M94 to put a plate on!!! lol.
