First overtime in about a year.:dancingbanana: I'd rather do a 12 than come in an extra day- doing both is fine, though. Yay!:D

That was easy. Got plenty of jobs out, too..

Take it when I can get it! Its easier for me than selling off stuff...Besides, my job is just a hobby gone full time. Don't know how I'd cope doing a "real job"...
05:56 -Once more, w/ "feewing"!
Happy, happy, joy, joy!
You are a fortunate man jmoore.
3rd day in a row, plus coming back in tonight. If this keeps up maybe I can wrangle a No 32 scope! (I'm two short right now, and the aftermarket thing just isn't the same...)
Its not fortune, its blessings! Gotta give credit to the Man in charge, because I surely don't know what I'm doing!
Dang, its killing me NOT to work this morning. Instead, off work and drive an hour and a half to the range. Dagnabit. Get into a routine and its hard to stop!
Plus, might get snowed out tonight as far as work goes. BUT- New L42a1 at the range this morn- supposedly.al'gao'wgih'WOGH'wogi- ;zrldsgkan;l ga;a[wga [wog, phooey.
When I first saw your post I thought this is a sick sick man but then I read the rest of it. :sos:
I try to remember what Daddy said--make sure you can live on a 40 hour check. :beerchug:Overtime money is a bonus. Don't count on it. I know a lot of auto workers that didn't learn that lesson and lost most of what they worked so hard for because they counted on OT money.:banghead:
On a more personal level when I had kids at home I worked as much OT as I could. Today I try to avoid it like a bad rash. But then I have put in more than my share of 10/12/14/16/18/20/22/24 hour days. I even put in a 40 hour day once. (quoting Johnny Dangerously) JUST ONCE:runaway:
Definitely learned not to count on it, which is why I'll grab as much as I can whilst its available! Actually worked more overtime when the company was bankrupt than at any other time in my life.
I do a 23 or 24 hour "up" day about every week. Good for 'ya, don't ya know...
Longest I was ever up was about 72 hrs straight- then all of a sudden it was lights out! Long ago, that was!
Recently I was up for a little over 80 hours - WOW the strange little hallucinations that started creeping into the peripheral vision were wild!!Quote:

Never had that problem in my earlier years like during the first Gulf War, Bosnia era, but then again I was quite a bit younger and a lot less busted up.
