I wish I had as much insight to offer as I do to ask of, does anyone know how to remove the metal front brackets from the grips? The upper seems to be brass rivets, and the lower almost like pins I guess, and I suppose be a good time to ask if one knows where to get replacement brass rivets, thanks again.

Note: The difference between the 1991 set of No.4 Manuals and 2002 No.4 (All Marks) .303 Rifle Manuals, is that the 1991 manual contains armourer's information on how to properly "bed" the No.4 rifle, whereas the newer 2002 manual does not.

If you want to break the wood permanently then I'd drive the rivets out with a hammer and punch. If you want to keep the wood intact, then drill them out. While there was a part number for the rivets and caps, they weren't available to us through the Ordnance supply system!
The forend cap is just pinned on and the pins push out. These pins can be used as replacement trigger and sear axis pins
