When I close my martini action, the breech block barely covers the rim of the top of the cartridge, it doesn't rise up to the top of the barrel rim. Is that normal? or is the camming action not pushing the block all the way up?

Sounds about normal to me. The issue on block height is where the firing pin strikes the primer. If it goes bang, then you're fine. If it doesn't, then we can talk adjustment.
Thanks Rich, I'll check the pin strike on my next round

If I might, I have a question here. The pin on my martini-enfield seems to be punching the primer dangerously deep. On the left one in my Lee-Enfield and the one on the right, my Martini. Reasons why?
