Help with carbine

I am new to the forum and have some questions about my M1. I have read posts but I am confused as to the originality of my carbine and I thought I would get some help from the experts. Unfortunately, I cannot post pictures today but I will try to get some soon. My carbine has the following markings:
It appears to be a Standard due to the serial number 2155xxx and I can almost see the Standard stamped under the rear sight. The stock has AAP stamped on the left side with a P stamped in front of the handgrip. There is an 8A stamped on the top of the stock and a SCB stamped on the handgrip.
The barrell is an Underwood stamped 12 43 with a symbol below that looks like a circle topped by a flame. On the side of the receiver is a 9E. The rear sight has an H inside of a shield The barrel band is marked AMCO in a right angle stamping. The trigger assembly has an S on the right side and an M or W with SA stamped next to it on the mag release button. Do these markings appear to indicate that the parts are original to the rifle? Sorry for the length of this first post, but I was trying to get in all of the information.

All of those parts are post war rebuild parts. The barrel appears to be original.

H inside the shield is correct for the rear sight, S on the right side of the trigger assembly is correct also. I believe the barrel bands on a standard are unmarked. Is the receiver a milled or stamped and brazed?

I meant trigger assembly not receiver!

H in shield sight is not correct. It is a postwar replacement. Originally your Carbine would have had a flip sight.

Check War Baby page 463, Rear Sight, type D (milled;adjustable)
Markings/Identification: "H" in shield on right side
Quantity/SN Range:used near end of production.

These sights were used after serial numbers in the 210xxx range.

His serial number indicates production about January or early February 1944. A bit too early for the adjustable rear sight. End of production would indicate about April 1944. Even then more flip sights were being used then the adjustable sights as they were in short supply and not enough of them to go around to all the carbine makers.

Dav; most if not all of the late parts would have been put on at the rebuild at Augusta Arsenal (AA) and inspected by 'P'. The best thing you can do is to leave it just as-is because it represents a carbine as-used at a point in time when the carbine was still in service. No 'correcting' and no refinishing. Enjoy, and shoot us some pictures - we never get enough.
