03a3 Dissambley

I HAVE A 03A3 REMINGTON, IT APPEARS TO BE ALL ORIGINAL. IT MAY HAVE NEVER BEEN APART I DON'T KNOW? THE QUESTION IS WHEN I TRY TO REMOVE EITHER BAND SCREW I CAN'T BECAUSE THE BAND SCREWS ARE CENTER PUNCHED AT THE THREAD END AND THEY WON'T BACK OUT WITHOUT RUINING THE THREADS IN THE BANDS. WAS THIS ORIGINAL AND IF SO WHAT IS THE CORRECT WAY TO REMOVE THE SCREWS?:sos:

dont remove the screws, you will destroy the bands, loosen them as far as they will go, then slide them over the stock.
