Happy to help out, sorry for the delay will make another when i get back to work (with Knurling), i sent an email regarding the swivel.
As for the LEC 1* from scotarms, will bring this back to its former glory in the near future.
I was looking at a post regarding a M1903 (cant remember were it was) that someone had spliced a new peice into the stock, looked very professional will give this a go, need to find a nose cap first gives me the size for the fore end, and hangaurd, if anyone can help on this, a repro or detailed drawing would be of great help.
If this is the one:It sounds like you've got a proper "officer's carbine" or a trade pattern sporter, rather than a military issue piece that was cut down by an owner. I don't believe the "Lee Speed" marks appeared on military issue Lee Enfield Carbines. Does yours look like one of these?Quote:

Thanks for the photos. Yes, that's a nice example. Is the blueing worn around the muzzle from the cap or not? If the blueing looks unworn and original, I would guess it may have been sporterized by one of the gunmakers and refinished at that time.

There is some wear, thats when i knew it was an original, (fore-end not done by a gunsmith). Only thing i cant figure out is that the marking on the butt is an indian marking ? pic below, also there are more pics in the original post.
