Hillerich & Bradsby for Quality Hardware. I've seen three of these.
Jim, Many THANKS (again).... I guess I better do a good job of repairing the crack ing the recoil plate shelf then.... Where is Charlie when you need stock advice????
That is really a pretty scarce stock. I don't know how many were made, but it couldn't have been too many.
Is this stock a Type I, II or III ?
Charlie-painter777
Charlie, it appears to be a type III. It also has a very visible (but dried out) QHMC cartouch a couple of inches forward of the oval cut on the right side. I'll send you an IM with what other info I have collected so far.
For the crack behind the recoil plate tang, I have used Super Glue to fix it. Use the thin, watery kind and 'wick' it into the crack until refusal, then wait 15 minutes and do it again. Repeat until final refusal, usually within an hour. The next day the former crack will be solid. The SG saturates the wood on both sides of the crack and it all cures together. The stock might crack again but not here.
