Looking for a 1982 Pattern C1A1 sling. This is the sling with two plastic buckles and NOT the type used on the No 1 and 4 Enfield rifles. Oh, by the way I have tried Marstar in Canada and their C1 slings are the Enfield slings.

I don't have the one with plastic buckles but I do have the one with brass buckles. It was the better one anyway, the buckles didn't break. It was the original issue for the F.N. Interested?
I Just aquired a C1 sling with plastic buckles at a surplus store. The ends of the sling don't fit or are too wide for a sling swivel.
That's strange. The slings were wide but they fit the C1 swivels. Show me a pic and I'll tel you if it's the right sling.
I should have clarified. The C1 sling swivel is wider than the civilian swivels that I have. I'm new at this I can't post a pic as they are asking for a "URL"
What is a URL?
I'll attempt to discribe this sling;
Olive drab in color Maybe a canvass the ends are pressed glue? The sling material is 1 1/4 " wide;(Just a bit too wide for my Civvy sling swivels.)
Buckles are olive drab and plastic.
One side of the sling has a soldier's name with his last three of his S.I.N. in black marker (that was standard in the line regts.)
Hope this helps.
I know it's a C1 sling as I used them when I served in the Airborne Infantry PPCLI, 3 mech Cdo. and later in the armoured Regts. Strathconas, 8th Hussars and RCDs
I've also seen slings issued with brass buckles but painted green for the field.

Armouredtrooper; Naturally, the sling won't fit civvie swivels because they're 1" only.
nzl1a1; They are assembled differently then we assembled ours but that early one's buckles are perfect! We put the ends inside the buckle so they didn't catch. Not the way the provisional book showed. We found the plastic buckles didn't stand up to hard use but thankfully we didn't have to use them for long.
Can anyone recommend a source for one of these? I am looking for one.
i may have one.
I have a few lying around. Two are the newer style with stiff webbing and plastic buckles and one is the old school 60s thin plastic buckle and a softer courderoy like webbing. Also a few with the metal buckles.....and some butt stocks and hand guards.
