I am aware of the more popular brands such as... B-square, S&K & ATI but the advertisement picture for these mounts are either too small or just plain and simply..... sucky.
If any of you gentlemen feel like helping a fellow Enfielder out, can you please post a good picture of your scoped No.4 (non- "T" models)?

IMHO the SK with it's wedge under the charger bridge is the best choice of aftermarket mounts. The B-Screwed and ATI rely on the two screws at the backsight ears and the ejector screw to secure them. Both fit over the outside of the receiver, the SK fits inside the receiver.

It's the only one to invest in too. Made by G.E. Fulton & Son at Bisley. I've got a picture of one on my custom LB HB target rifle but it's the earlier version and not the Picatinny rail type. The mounting is identical. Email me directly if you want me to send a picture.
I am familiar with that mount but it costs more than the gun i'd be putting it on. I am in no way saying it is not worth the asking price because it is but i am admitting that I can not afford it and for that price I could buy another no.4 and i would rather have another rifle honestly
The Fulton & Son is a knock off of the SK, or the other way around, but it's a steel mount, not aluminum. That's the price difference. If you watch the auction sights you can find a used SK pretty cheap.Quote:

Yes, they are similar but the quality of the Fulton is much better from fit and finish to the way it installs of the rifle. I've bought and sold them all over the years and had many problems with the U.S. manufacture bases. So the Fulton doesn't use a wedge under the charger bridge? How is it secured to the receiver?
The Fulton does use a wedge nut under the charger bridge as does the Armalon. The quality of the S&K doesn't compare to either of the British made mounts. As I said, I'd stock S&K No.4 mounts if the better quality ones weren't available. Like everything, you get what you pay for.
