Surplus ammo ?

I have found 300rds of surplus with this head stamp.

7.7R1M32

Does anyone have knowledge about this ammo? Thanks.

Excellent ammunition made in South Africa for their military. The A80 indicates 1980 manufacture. That's some of the latest dated 303 I've seen from that source.

the 7.7 is the metric designation for the 303

To add, it is non-corrosive Berdan primed.

I bought about 4000rds of it several years back, and am dreading the day it runs out! Haven't seen any in a while. Currently shooting more reloads until my old stash of bullets gets low. Restocking is gonna be expensive....

BTW, the SA ammo chronos just above 2500fps. (So it MUST not be safe in any L-E!):lol:
