Recently browsing some for sale ads and noticed someone had a "Malzer" for sale. His picture shows what appears to be a decent Argentine 1909 Mauser. He wants to trade it for a F150 Ford with good inspection sticker.:D Anyhow, it makes me wonder just how many ways there are to malign the name of Mauser?
Half the time, I think it's just the failure to spellcheck before posting. The rest is just poor speech habits. I grew up with guys like that.
i don't know about the Mausers as the word is simple enough, but for the Mosin Nagants it seems to be endless. it's pronounced "Moseen Nahgon". not Moysin Nagant. not Mohsin Nahgahnt. Moseen Nagon.

like me. and many others over the age of 40...cant type, cant figure out spell check, and cant spell...or just dont care,..lol...
sometimes i misspell just to bug the anal...its the small things in life that make you smile...
or howbout this...selling on CL..misspell, or call it something close,
a gunguy will likely look and know what you have,,,but a gunhater wont...

What's REAL fun is when you have to transliterate and the alphabets don't line up perfectly; Russian likely is the most common example of this. When I registered my junk, the people at the registry told me just to write down what was on the guns, so I wrote down things such as 'Imperator'ski Sestrotyet'ski Oruzheiniya Zavod", exactly the way they said, and it took them 4 years to work it out. On the same principle, though, they still don't have a certain "Overslag" rifle figured out!
As to Noisy Maggots, I have no idea what people are screaming about!
