Soccom II

I recently picked up a Soccom II just because I've always wanted a Tanker M1A. My M1A is fine but its a wee bit long, I removed the Quad rail on it, put on a M1A handguard and sent it to the range with the family sniper (son #1) and shooting M2 K/o reloads he put up 5 shot, 1 MOA groups @ 100 yards with the pig-me. Is this typical of this rifle??-SDH

Uh,.... A little better than expected as regards accuracy.

However, I myself never shoot worse than 1 MOA- even standing and blindfolded.:madsmile: Gotta keep up w/ the Joneses, don't ya know...

Interesting post. I got a SOCOM 11 a few years ago and realized I would have preferred a scout rifle I think they refer to it as a Squad Rifle.

I asked an "expert" about it and it seemed I'd need to rebiuld the rifle best yet tyrade it.

I'm curious as to what you relpaced as the rails came off? Haven't looked at it in this light but thought I'd ask. The rails seem to be too high for my reflex sight and probably others as well. Just interested in your rifle and appreciate your thoughts.

SAI call it the Scout and it has the 18" barrekl over the 16" barrel and it costs a lot less than the tricked out SOCOMII

All are variations on the same marketing ploy by SA Inc: Make a rifle that has no advantage over the existing items out there, advertise it aggressively, & folks will pay a premium price for it. Note that no police or military organization has bought a single one.
