Picked up this Canadian-marked MLE Mk I this month.

1896 Enfield production, M&D stamp on buttstock. s/n is 13##, so really early in production and among the first batch taken on by Canada that year. All matching with original '96-dated barrel.

Complete but for the piling swivel and attendant screw (and withdrawn clearing rod, of course). Anyone have one sitting loose they can spare?

I've picked up a few interesting things lately. These have been over the last two months, but I didn't list last month. I had a helper for a couple of the photos :) Sorry the receiver photo of the MH ended up placed after the SMLE. Still figuring out this attachment process.

First up is a C Broad Arrow stamped Martini-Henry Mk III.

Next is a 1904 dated SMLE No 1 Mk I, complete with the charger on teh bolthead and the bone tipped windage adjustment knob. This one has been converted to a grenade discharger.

Next is a Danish Krag Artillery Carbine.

Next is a RNWMP Ross Mk I Carbine.


Last is a BSA #4(T)--can be seen in my gallery.

This has been a pricey couple of months. I don't think I'll be buying anything else for about a year........
