It is steel case WW2 corrosive ammo. If you have to pay more than 15 cents a round, it's not worth messing with.
Agreed. Since it is Eau Claire production, there is a good possibility of it being steel cased.
Jim I think you mean that it's Evansville Chrylser and agree it's most likely steel cased and corrosive primed.

Your EC ammo is Evansville-Chrysler,it is steel cased and corrosive made in 1944.These cases unlike most .45 cases have a small extractor groove and have been rumored to cause possible extractor damage.
