Got my AP from the CMP yesterday. Looks like all three cases are SL, which I believe is St. Louis. Anybody know what year LOT SL 9745 was manufactured and whether or not it is corrossive?
Thanks, Greg V

According to the information that I have Saint Louis Ordnance Plant converted to non corrosive primers at the following lot numbers:
30-06 Ball – Lot No. 9420 – May 1952
30-06 AP- Lot No. 9467- July 1952.
Therefore it would appear to me that you have a non-corrosive lot.
For loose ammo (i.e. Lot No. unknown), I would consider any “SL” ammo earlier than SL-53 to be corrosively primed.
Hope this helps
In my early reply I neglected to cite the source of my data. It taken from an article entitled ’Nonmercuric, Noncorrosive Primers’ published in the "NRA ILLUSTRATED RELOADIND HANDBOOK" released by the NRA circa 1961.
