My New Eddystone

I recently picked this rifle up at a gun show show. I already have a Remington M1917 and wanted to get a Eddystone and a Winchester at some point. This one has obviously been refinished but it was appears to have been really done well. Barrel date is "E 12-18". I understand that it has a
P14 stock. That being said, all of the three wood pieces of this rifle's stock are stamped with "DP" as well as the middle swing swivel band and front collar. What do the "DP" markings mean? The butt disc is gone and was plugged. The stock is in great overall condition. What do you all think, anything I need to be concerned with? Thanks.

DP drill purpose...the cutout is from when they drill a large hole through the chamber area, some had a rod shoved through as well, so that a live round couldnt be chambered.
the disc on the side is for a long range sight, for grenade use.
all the DP marked parts are P14 parts..
some 1917 parts are in order, as well as a 1917 stock and handguards.

Yeah, I'll be on the lookout for parts. I think I made out okay, the majority of the parts are Eddystone just a couple little ones here and there plus the stock. Thanks for the information Chuck.

Er Chuck, the volley sight was for volley fire - not grenades :)
