Introduction
Hi all, I'm brand new here, and I thought I'd intoduce myself. I posted this in the water hole, but it was suggested that I do the same here.
I've always been a milsurp sort of guy, but I'm mainly into Lee-Enfields. My great-grandfather was part of the Australian Imperial Force during WWI and fought on the Western Front at the very end of the war. He moved to the US after the war and became a competitive shooter in the 20s and 30s. In the only picture I have of him he's proudly shooting an Enfield at a match. I always wanted one of those rifles as a boy. Today I have a small collection of Lee-Enfields, and they make up a good portion of all the rifles I own. My favorite is a 1918 SSA NoIII*
Thanks for this community. It looks like I'll be spending a lot of time here, and am looking forward to it.

Sounds to me your great grand father would approve entirely of your enfield collection, maybe he's still looking over your shoulder when you're at the range too.
Welcome, ...
ps, we're all mad around here, been infected with mad enfield disease, is that alright?

Welcome!
Feel free to jump in.
Maybe you could post a copy of your great-grandfather at the range. I'm sure he attracted some attention back then, competing w/ a "furrin'" rifle in the US.
