goldplated m1 carbine
stopped at a pawn shop today and saw a late model Inland that some one gold plated. the only thing that was not plated was the bolt. even the mag. was plated. It was in a stock that had a pistol grip in the front and a wire piece in the back that went into the stock when you pushed a button. price was $900.00 what a deal. any one else ever seen one of this. :ugh::yikes:

I guess Soddom had to pawn his gold plated carbine before the invasion in 2005....

ReTired has it right....Sounds like a "faked" Saddam bring home. :move eek:
The stock sounds like one of the commercial Plainfield "paratrooper" type. They aren't bad, but not G.I. by any means. They have a reputation for the wood channel splitting where the wire butt stock collapses into, at the rear of the receiver. Look closely if you are thinking of purchasing and maybe get a few bucks off due to that.
You can look on GunBroker and search either Plainfield, or Iver Johnson and see these stocks quite regularly.
