Well since i got the following, I do have a question to ask::D

It appears that you have not posted on our Military Surplus Collectors Forums in several months. To clear this message, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help someone else who's asking a question, or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

Anyhow, looking for a ballpark value of a Spanish Calvary carbine. One of those that has the wood all the way to the muzzle. 7x57. made in Spain not Germany. also, was this action a 98 or a 93, or 95? I know you need a better description for an actual piece, but all i am looking at is a ballpark of what this type of example would go for.

I'm not that familiar with the ones made in Spain, but I do know the ones made by Loewe can go for quite a lot. I think your Spanish made version would be more a lot more common and probably of interest to the very serious Mauser collector looking to round out a very wide and deep collection.

Probably a 93. Value depends a lot on condition. If nice and matching, maybe a $350 gun or so. You'd have to test the market. Carbines typically go for a lot more than rifles.

If it were a Leowe, ti would be worth considerably more.

Last summer I came into a sporterized Spanish made Mauser. I was going to re-build it into the Military configuration but ran into a few problems, the treads on the barrel were not metric nor sae, extreme set back led me to do a rockwell and it was as soft as cold rolled steel, I reassembled what I had the cut and milled it into a working tool room model. Its been very helpful in explaining things to my customers. SDH
