Another scam!

My son is trying to move from Salt Lake City back to Northern Pa. He has looked for various homes here on the internet and he has been getting this email response in various forms. The guy may be a Engineer working in Africa or a minister working in Africa, etc. They want your personal information.

My son is no dummy as he is a Design Consultant and he caught this right away. The people who are doing this must have access to sales, rentals, etc. Copy and forward if you want!!

Later we decided to have the house rent out, we would have give the same agent this job also but the truth of the matter is that the agent would want to handle it professionally and the occupant may not be able to reason along with him later. If you notice, you will discovered that the price we are offering is far below standard price, this is enough for you to know that we are not after the rental fee but the absolute care for the property.
We will be serving for a long term and now our home is locked up now and presently we have found a new home here which we will be staying for a very long term which might last 5 years in (West Africa,Nigeria) and presently our lovely home is still available for rent for ($550)as first month rent and ($550)for deposit which includes the utilities

More so,Now that we on Retreat program over here.Please I want you to note that all we will want is a very honest and neat person,so i will solicit for your absolute understanding and maintenance of this home and want you to treat it as your own,i am with the keys and documents here with me which will be sent to any responsible and interested tenant through FedEx further more you have to undergo some processes before i could be willing and convince to let my home to any tenant. The money is not the main problem but i want you to keep it tidy always. I also want you to let me have trust in you as i have always stand on my word.

I would wonder why They want Pictures of Your Family.

If you had listed your home for rent or sale Craig's List, you probably got harvested. So, they are getting your leads and your lead's money.

There are countless scams like this going on every day on the internet. The english and spelling in this one is better than the average and believe me I have declined hundreds of millions of dollars over the past few years to help someone get a "security chest"/inheritance of gold, cash, bonds whatever out of the country. The people who send these are very good at mass emailing thousands of people with one click. About once a year I hear of someone where I live falling for some sort of scam like this. If I remember correctly the last one cost this couple around $5,000.00. Was it P.T. Barnum that said "there's a sucker born every minute"? I just checked and as suspected the international dial code 234 is Nigeria where most of these scams originate. Remember if they get one sucker every year their take is multiple times the average annual income in Nigeria.
I checked the annual income in Nigeria and it is less than $700.00 US per year, get a damage deposit and first months rent of $1,100.00 USD and this guy is rich.
I can almost guarantee your son will now be getting "offers" on a regular basis from these people and their friends.

So you're tellin' me that the Nigerian widow ain't really sending me that 1.5 Million?

I am told that the best way to stop this is to go to gmail as my email address as they get so little spam.
