Is anyone looking at those socket markings as cross eyed as I am ?
My first thought was Khyber Pass, but then I looked at the rest of the metal...?
Something is not right with those markings on the wrist. The font is wrong. I suspect other problems as well.

This is one of the TGuns imports that "On Target" was flogging for months on Gunbroker.
It's Pakistani Home Smithy mixed with some Brit parts---but probably not the bolthead or barrel.
The buttsocket markings brand this as "Tourist JunK".
Now let's have a nine page post debating whether this is a fake or not.

At a glance it's a Long Lee (MLE MkI or I*) cut down, not a MkI. The receiver looks pretty good for a KP, perhaps it was a commercial action or a scrubbed action re marked? I didn't look at any of the TGuns rifles you refer to krinko, but it would make sense someone who was stung then re-selling now.
There's no doubt about the markings, though- bodgey to the max!
When they're not a little bleary eyed from inhaling too much Hoppes/vegemite cleaning fumes/, the gentlemen on this site can be an awesome resource of info if you're getting into enfields.
That rifle would have taken in many an unsuspecting and uninformed buyer. The Khyber Pass mob are so good at this they'd make an honest fortune reproducing rare parts that we all need and selling them as such.
Here's to our own ...
I would buy a Kyber Pass reproduction of a LEC carbine end cap in a heart beat. Trying to rebuild this gun from being sporterized is a real challenge and that will be the most difficult piece to find...I think. Considering the lack of equiptment these craftsmen have they do amazing work and they probably have more "hand skills" than 99% of the members of this forum.
Hard to tell without seeing it in person, but I'd be willing to believe it's a real Long Lee action that has been scrubbed and re-stamped (poorly). Obviously, it's a total bitser at best.
