1903 MK 1 help

Greetings, I got this 1903 MK1 a few years back. I need to sell it now:(

It does not have the 2 pc trigger/sear or the safety of the MK1. you can see in the pics that the finish of those pieces is black, compared to the greenish color of the receiver barrel. The bore is shiny, and rifling is prominent. I do not know what it measures,(I ordered a cheap gauge from Numrich arms, it should get here next week).

The stock does not have any stampings (that I can see) except for the "S" in the safety cutout area. The bolt, rear sight and safety have a "R" stamped on them. The extractor has "CV" stamped on it. The barrel is stamped "SA 10-19" and the flaming bomb. The trigger is smooth.

I have looked on gunbroker to try to get a idea of what these are going for. (asking price and selling price are not necessarily the same) The higher priced ones didn't have any bids, and the ones that did have bids, you don't know what the reserve is. The condition of some seemed to be poor compared to their $1000 + prices.

What would be a fair value for this?

It being a mix of 03 and A3 parts, replacement stock, and reparked metal, value might be $450-500.

Hard to tell, but it looks like the trigger guard is stamped R. If it is, and the floorplate, that alone would be $80-100.

Price is directly related to how much you need to recover from the sale of the rifle, the overall condition of the rifle, as well as to how quickly you would like to sell a rifle. Those are my standards when upgrading and selling off a firearm, and I price things to move.

Does the rifle have any paperwork to accompany it... CMP/DCM? That is always a plus when I am buying or selling. The nice thing is it still has what looks to be it's original barrel, which is a plus, but it has been refurbished sometime in it's history. Provided the rifle has no issues, headspace is okay, and the muzzle is good, the rifle would sell reasonably quick in the $550 - $600 range. Anything beyond that, and things start to slow down. This is my opinion, based on my area (midwest). Best regards, and I hope it sells quickly.

It appears that only the receiver is a Mark 1 part; can't really see the cut off spindle. A Mark 1 spindle has a slot, like a screw, even though it is not a screw. The rifle is a WWII rebuild.

Your extractor is marked CV. That makes it very rare & a desirable part for match rifle collectors. The CV marked parts (extractor; sear & firing pin; CV= chrome vanadium) were introduced in 1936 as parts for NM rifles. See Brophy, page 46. When original, your extractor was polished; being parked will reduce its value. I'd swap it for a regular extractor & revise the GB description.

The bolt appears to be a 1903 bolt (vs one for a 1903A3) and since it is made by Remington, is also a desirable part for Remington collectors.
