...sorry-not sure if I should title it a certain way-mods please feel free to edit or move...some more pics from my father in law's album...he was in the 804th Tank Destroyer Battalion,which was also attatched to the34th Infantry Div. (among others)...fought their way up from Salerno thru Naples and into Rome-then swung up toward Austria....and the Brenner Pass(which is i believe where some of these are from)....ended the war only 8 miles away from the refugee camp my parents and other family members were in-and didnt find this out till I married my wife...talk about a Twilite Zone scenario...!!!...can provide more details and pics if anyone interested...again I apologize if this post is not in the right spot...please let me know...

Mario, thanks for sharing the pics from your FIL's album. I see an M1 so this is the spot for them. What is the vehicle in #3 & 4? Also notice the GI's checking out the Germen cars stuck in the mud. How about some more?.....Frank

...Hi Frank...the vehicle (which is just a double post pic I couldnt seem to delete one of) is an M-8 Greyhound scout vehicle....went up ahead of the heavier Tank Destroyers and.....uh,..."scouted"...:lol:...the civilian type vehicles you see were "appropriated" for the top brass to ride around in....I'll get some more photos up this weekend when I've got a bit more time...:D
