Hi all!
Take it easy on me, my grandmother gave me several guns. One seems to be a British 1952 model of some sort, I would have to double check on that.
Long story short she also gave me a small bag full of shells that look to me to be 30-06 shells they say LC 65 match on them. What are they :confused:
Any info would be great, I am thinking of just disposing of them unless someone can tell me more about them.

Lake Cities from 1965 should shoot just fine. I wouldn't be afraid of it if you're pretty sure it's been kept in a relatively temperature stable environment.
Are you sure that is the right ammo for the rifle?
I've shot older stuff than that with no problems. I've got some 7x57 stuff from the 30's that still goes BANG every time you pull the trigger on it. It's corrosive, but I've got lots of old WWII bore cleaner. LOL
Back in the 80's I came across a stash of 30-06 stuff with WWI dates on it. It went bang most of the time. Wasn't too accurate as I recall. :lol: Only had one head separation out of that mess.
The LC 65 most likely is 30-06 Match ammo as used at Camp Perry and military rifle matches in general,but it could also be 7.62x51 (Military version of the 308 Winchester) Pictures would help.
bsarv, your going to have to post some pics of the firearms and ammo to positively identify
