Lake Cities from 1965 should shoot just fine. I wouldn't be afraid of it if you're pretty sure it's been kept in a relatively temperature stable environment.
Are you sure that is the right ammo for the rifle?
I've shot older stuff than that with no problems. I've got some 7x57 stuff from the 30's that still goes BANG every time you pull the trigger on it. It's corrosive, but I've got lots of old WWII bore cleaner. LOL
Back in the 80's I came across a stash of 30-06 stuff with WWI dates on it. It went bang most of the time. Wasn't too accurate as I recall. :lol: Only had one head separation out of that mess.
