Hello,
Just wanted to confirm if this is a Mk 2/1 converted. My two mandatory T reference books came in today from Brian (thnx BDLLTD) and I was going through trying to I.D what I have. All clues point me towards the Mk 2/1, but I just wanted to reach out and see if I could get some clarification. Thnx in advance.

The adjustments themselves indicate it's still a Mk.2, no? A Mk. 2/1 would be expected to have the slipping rings found on a No.32 Mk.3. It's more of a No.32 Mk.1/2 if the elevation and windage adjustments are 1 minute increments rather than the Mk.I 50yd (E) and 2 minute (W).
Where's the little book?....
ETA: Eh, not immediately handy, and I've been up 24 hrs now, but I THINK the S/N would be for a No.32 Mk.I, but that's just a SWAG.
I'll check back in, barring deer butchering duties (hopefully) in about 18 or 20hrs. See what the REAL folk say!
The answer is very simple. It was manufactured as a Mk1, very probably at thge change over point to Mk2's so being in stuck, HBM have simply milled out the original Mk1 markings and over engraved Mk2 markings. Probably modified the existing Mk1 drums that hey had in stock too and sent nit out as a Mk2. Waste not, want not as they say.
I have seen many HBM's like this, all from the same serial number batch. In short, your telescope is a Mk2.
If it were a Mk2/1, it would be the Mk2 as you have with the slipping scale drums from the Mk3 in the background
Another reasonably accurate method of telling whether such a conversion was done at the factory of in a workshop is in the method.

And they were still using the MK1 tubes later than Lance's numbered scope.
Tin worm unfortunately took a bite or two at this scope.
There Ickman, you can't get more original than Valley snipers photo of a well worn and motheaten but very original upgraded telescope. Remember. Milled out and over engraved = factory. Barred out and re-marked = REME workshop
I have seen an HBM scope where the 5 in the serial number has been engraved upside down (put in the pantograph wrong way up). Number barred out and re-engraved underneath
