Are you sure the B isn't actually an L stamped over a B which is the Long Branch proof mark?

The second figure looks like an LB monogram to me...could this be a Long Branch repair/rebuild mark?

I've never seen such a mark but there again, we wouldn't have got a LB FTR after 1946 anyway. But I think that Krinko's right

Looks like they grabbed mine off of the rack a few months before yours.
The RB (actually LB) means factory rebarrel. Very nice find. A fellow collector friend has a Long Branch "T" that was done this way. Ron
You chaps are right on the ball, and nice to validate the marking with another sharp post. The LB is obviously the Long Branch logo and the 'R' prefix likely to be a repair or refurbished indicator.
